On 30 January 2020, the Czech Senate approved the bill for the ratification of the pending income tax treaty with Taiwan. The treaty, signed 12 December 2017 ({News-2019-03-20/T/3-previous coverage}), is the first of its kind between the two jurisdictions and will enter into force once the ratification instruments are exchanged and will apply from 1 January of the year following its entry into force.
