The Danish Ministry of Culture has announced government proposals to support and develop Danish media, including the introduction of a cultural contribution on streaming services such as Netflix, Amazon Prime, and HBO. The cultural contribution would be in the form of a levy at the rate of 5% on the turnover derived in Denmark from such services.
