On 8 July 2022, the Cabinet of the Democratic Republic of the Congo approved the ratification of the pending income tax treaty with the United Arab Emirates. The treaty, signed 12 October 2021, is the first of its kind between the two countries and will enter into force after the ratification instruments are exchanged.
