On 15 April 2023, the Prime Minister of the Democratic Republic of the Congo signed two decrees that extend certain VAT exemptions first introduced in April 2022. Decree no. 23/15 extends, until 31 December 2023, the VAT exemption on imports and domestic sales of certain food products and basic necessities.
