Denmark Extends Tax Return Deadlines to September and Provides Penalty Relief for March Labor-Related Contributions for COVID-19

The Danish Ministry of Taxation announced on 31 March that, as a result of the challenges of COVID-19, the deadline for the tax return (disclosure) for the 2019 income year is extended to 1 September 2020 for all taxpayers. The extension to 1 September applies as follows:

  • Ordinary employees, etc., who receive an annual report with a deadline of 1 May;
  • Small traders who receive an annual report and have a deadline of 1 July;
