On 30 September 2014, the Dominican Republic House of Representatives approved the law ratifying the social security agreement with Ecuador. The agreement, signed 22 April 2013, is the first of its kind between the two countries and will enter into force on the first day of the third month following the exchange of the ratification instruments.
