On 9 July 2021, the Dutch Cabinet approved for ratification the pending income and capital tax treaty between Chile. The treaty was signed on 25 January 2021 and is the first of its kind between the two countries. It will enter into force on the last day of the month following the exchange of the ratification instruments and will apply from 1 January of the year following its entry into force.
