EAEU Extends Increased Duty-Free Threshold for Import of Goods for Personal Use and Import Duty Exemption for Critical Goods

The Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) has announced its recent approval of an extension of the temporary increase in the duty-free (exemption) threshold to EUR 1,000 (or 31 kg) for goods that are imported by individuals for personal use. The exemption was previously scheduled to expire on 1 October 2022 and is now extended to 1 April 2023 (up to 31 March 2023).
