During their meeting held on 16 June 2023, the EU Economic and Financial Affairs Council discussed the European Commission's VAT in the Digital Age package, which includes proposed measures to improve the EU's VAT system so that it works better for businesses and is more resilient to fraud and to address certain challenges.
