On 15 December 2020, the Egyptian parliament approved the ratification of the new income tax treaty with the United Arab Emirates. The treaty, signed 14 November 2019, will enter into force after the ratification instruments are exchanged and, once in force and effective, will replace the 1994 tax treaty between the two countries. Details of the treaty will be published once available.
