On 15 June 2025, the Egyptian House of Representatives approved the ratification of the pending protocol to the 2019 income tax treaty with the United Arab Emirates. The protocol, signed 11 February 2024, is the first to amend the treaty and will enter into force after the ratification instruments are exchanged.
