The Estonian government on August 13 approved for signature an amending protocol to the Estonia-Germany income and capital tax treaty, according to information published August 14 in Estonia’s Official Gazette. The protocol was initialed on 13 July 2018, and will be the first to amend the treaty, which was signed on 29 November 1996 and entered into force on 30 December 1998. It must be signed and ratified by both contracting parties before entering into force.
