On 16 April 2024, Estonia published in the Official Gazette the Act for the ratification of the pending income tax treaty with Pakistan. The treaty, signed 20 November 2023, is the first of its kind between the two countries and will enter into force once the ratification instruments are exchanged. It will apply in Estonia from 1 January of the year following its entry into force and in Pakistan from 1 July next following its entry into force.
