On 17 June 2025, Estonia published the Act for the ratification of the pending income tax treaty with Botswana in the Official Gazette. The Act enters into force on 27 June 2025. The treaty, signed 25 September 2024, is the first of its kind between the two countries. It will enter into force once the ratification instruments are exchanged and will apply in Botswana from 1 July next following its entry into force and in Estonia from 1 January next following its entry into force.
