On 19 June 2023, the European Commission announced its approval of an Italian scheme providing a social security contribution exemption for employers of all sizes in all sectors that employ young workers below the age of 36 and women during the period between 1 July 2022 and 31 December 2023, up to a maximum of EUR 8,000 per hiring contract.
