Final Proposal on EU Financial Transactions Tax Likely Delayed

The final proposal for the EU financial transactions tax (FTT), to be issued end of 2014, will likely be delayed according to a document prepared by the Italian government for an upcoming ambassadors meeting. According to the document, additional work is needed before agreement on a final proposal can be reached by the 11 EU Member States that support implementing the tax.
