Finland's Ministry of Finance has announced that it will not move forward with the planning increase in the VAT rate on candy and chocolate from 14% to 25.5% on 1 June 2025. To compensate for the lost revenue, tax subsidies for data centers and mines will be phased out and alcohol tax will be increased on wine and other fermented alcoholic beverages.
