The Finnish tax administration has announced the gross salary based social security contribution rates for 2018 for both employers and employees.
The rates for employer contributions are as follows:
- Health Insurance - 0.86%
- Pension Insurance (TyEL) - 17.75% (average) - Seafarers' Pension (MEL) - 13.20%
- Unemployment Insurance - 0.65% on gross salaries up to EUR 2,083.500 and 2.60% on gross salaries exceeding that amount
