On 8 November 2019, Finland's Ministry of Finance announced that Minister of Finance Mika Lintilä or, in his absence, Minister Sirpa Paatero has been authorized to sign the amending protocol to the 2016 income tax treaty with Germany. The protocol will be the first to amend the treaty and must be signed and ratified before entering into force.
