The French Ministry of Finance has announced a possible deferral of the payment of the real estate contribution of companies (Contribution Foncière des Entreprises - CFE) that is due on 15 December 2020. The deferral is provided for companies finding themselves in difficulty paying the CFE due to the ongoing COVID-19 health crisis and, in particular, because they are subject to activity restrictions. Such companies may apply for deferral of the payment deadline by three months.
