France has published in the list of French companies whose market capitalization exceeded EUR 1 billion as on 1 December 2023. This list is used for the purpose of the French financial transactions tax, which is levied at a rate of 0.3% on the acquisition of securities issued by French companies whose market capitalization exceeded one billion euros as on 1 December of the previous year. The latest list includes 121 companies, which is down from 130 companies in the previous year.
