France and Moldova Conclude Negotiations for New Tax Treaty

On 5 February 2021, officials from France and Moldova concluded negotiations with the initialing of a new income tax treaty. A tax treaty between the two countries was signed in 2006 to replace the tax treaty between France and the former Soviet Union as it applies in respect of France and Moldova, although it was never ratified. The new treaty is reportedly in line with the minimum BEPS standards and must be signed and ratified before entering into force.
