On 25 January 2024, the French National Assembly (lower house of parliament) approved the law for the ratification of the pending income tax treaty with Moldova. The treaty, signed 15 June 2022, will enter into force the day after the ratification instruments are exchanged and will apply from 1 January of the year following its entry into force. A prior treaty was signed in 2006 but never entered into force.
