German Parliament Approves Reduction in Unemployment Insurance Contribution

On 14 December 2018, the German Federal Council (upper house of parliament - Bundesrat) approved a reduction in the unemployment insurance contribution for 2019 from 3% to 2.5%. The reduction was approved by the German Federal Diet (lower house of parliament - Bundestag) on 30 November 2018.
