Germany Suspends Tax Treaty with Belarus

The German Ministry of Finance has announced the suspension of the 2005 tax treaty with Belarus with effect from 1 January 2025. This follows the partial suspension of the treaty by Belarus with effect from 1 June 2024. Should Belarus reverse the partial suspension, the German Federal Government will examine whether the current suspension of the treaty can be lifted.
