Greece Clarifies Special Solidarity Contributions Not Covered by Tax Treaties

The Greek Public Revenue Authority has issued a notice that the country's special solidarity contribution is not considered an income tax under the Greek tax code and does not fall under the category of "identical or substantially similar taxes" under the taxes covered article of any Greek tax treaties. This position follows an earlier notification from the State Legal Council on the matter.
