According to a release from the Greek Ministry of Finance, several support measures will be introduced considering a surplus of approximately EUR 800 million in the 2023 budget. The main tax measure is the extension of the reduced VAT rate of 13% for passenger transport, coffee and non-alcoholic beverages, cinemas, gyms, etc. by 6 months until the end 2023. The application of the reduced rate was previously extended to 30 June 2023 as part of the 2023 budget.
