Greece to Further Extend Reduced VAT Rate for Passenger Transport, Coffee and Non-Alcoholic Beverages, Tourist Packages, and Others

The Greek parliament is considering a draft bill that provides for a further extension of the reduced VAT rate of 13% for passenger transport, coffee and non-alcoholic beverages, cinema, tourist packages, gyms, etc. The application of the reduced rate was introduced in response to the COVID-19 pandemic and was subsequently extended to 30 June 2022. The reduced rate is now to be extended to 31 December 2022.
