Greek Measures Taken in Response to COVID-19 Include 4-Month Suspension for Certain Payments

The Greek Ministry of Finance has announced measures being taken in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, including tax measures for businesses in sectors that are most affected. For all businesses in affected sectors, the following payments due in March are suspended for 4 months, that is, until 31 July 2020, with no interest and surcharges:

  • Payment of (VAT) debts certified by VAT returns, payable in March;
  • The payment of any kind of certified (tax) debt to the Tax Service or the Audit Center…
