The Greek Parliament is considering a draft bill that would provide for a temporary increase in the tax rate for certain vessels under the tonnage tax regime. This includes a 4% increase in the tonnage tax rates for category A vessels flying the Greek flag for tax years 2022 to 2025. The 4% increase would also apply for the contribution for vessels of Greek interests flying a foreign flag that are insured with the Naval Retirement Fund.
