On 25 September 2014, Guernsey ratified the pending tax information exchange agreement with Montserrat. The agreement was signed in Guernsey on 7 April 2014 and in Montserrat on 19 May 2014, and is the first of its kind between the two jurisdictions.
The agreement will enter into force on the first day of the second month following the exchange of the ratification instruments, and will apply from that date.
