According to a recent update from the Guernsey government, officials from Guernsey and Lebanon are planning to begin negotiations for an income tax treaty in 2022. The two sides had planned to begin negotiations earlier, but this was deferred due to the COVID19 pandemic. Any resulting treaty will be the first of its kind between the two jurisdictions and must be finalized, signed, and ratified before entering into force.
