Guyana's Minister of Finance has approved the Value-Added Tax (Amendment of Schedule I) Order 2025, which came into operation on 29 January 2025. The measures of the Order provide for the introduction of a VAT zero-rate for the supply of:
- Electricity generators;
- Machinery used in the agriculture sector;
- Automated poultry pens; and
- Veterinary supplies.
The VAT zero-rate is meant to support businesses in relevant sectors.
