Hong Kong and Venezuela Complete First Round of Tax Treaty Negotiations

According to an update from the Hong Kong Inland Revenue Department, officials from Hong Kong and Venezuela completed the first round of negotiations for an income tax treaty on 10 May 2024. Any resulting treaty would be the first of its kind between the two jurisdictions and must be finalized, signed, and ratified before entering into force.
