On 25 October 2014, the Hungarian parliament approved the pending tax information exchange agreement signed with Jersey. The agreement, signed 28 January 2014, is the first of its kind between the two countries and is in line with the OECD standard for information exchange.
The agreement will enter into force 30 days after the ratification instruments are exchanged, and will apply from 1 January of the year following its entry into force.
