On 13 November 2024, Hungary published in the Official Gazette the laws for the ratification of the pending protocols to the tax treaties with Serbia and Switzerland.
The amending protocol to the 2001 income and capital tax treaty between Hungary and Serbia was signed on 8 October 2024 and is the first to amend the treaty. It will enter into force 30 days after the ratification instruments are exchanged and will apply from 1 January of the year following its entry into force.
