On 30 March 2020, Hungarian President János Áder signed the law for the ratification of the pending social security agreement with Russia. The agreement, signed 30 October 2019, will enter into force after the ratification instruments are exchanged and, once in force and effective, will replace the 1962 social security agreement between Hungary and the former Soviet Union.
