The Corporation Tax (Implementation of the Mergers Directive) Regulations 2008, SI 2008/1579 was laid before Parliament on 17 June 2008. The regulations will amend existing legislation to ensure implementation of the Mergers Directive. HMRC have explained that the regulations are necessary because the existing legislation only partially implements the Directive.
