On 14 May 2024, the U.S. Department of State issued a Joint Report of the U.S.-India Information and Communications Technology (ICT) Working Group. Among other things, the report notes ongoing negotiations for a social security agreement. Any resulting agreement would be the first of its kind between the two countries and must be finalized, signed, and ratified before entering into force.
