The Iranian parliament approved the ratification of the pending protocol to the 2011 income and capital tax treaty with Iraq on 1 January 2023. The protocol, signed on 6 September 2015, is the first to amend the treaty, which was signed on 6 July 2011 and has not yet entered into force. Both the treaty and the protocol will enter into force after the ratification instruments are exchanged.
