According to a release from Iran's Ministry of Economic Affairs and Finance, Iran has expressed its interest in signing an income tax treaty with Australia during a recent meeting between officials of the two countries to discuss the development of mutual cooperation. Any resulting treaty would be the first of its kind between the two countries and must be finalized, signed, and ratified before entering into force.
