The Iraq Council of Ministers reportedly reauthorized the negotiation and signing of an income tax treaty with Croatia on 18 July 2023. Negotiations were previously authorized on 5 April 2022, but reauthorization was needed following parliamentary elections and the formation of a new Council of Ministers. Any resulting treaty would be the first of its kind between the two countries and must be finalized, signed, and ratified before entering into force.
