The Irish government is reportedly planning to provide a temporary reduction in the VAT rate on tourism and hospitality services from 13.5% to 9.0% to support the industry in light of continued pressure from the COVID-19 pandemic. The reduced rate is expected to be announced as part of the Budget 2021, which is scheduled to be published on 13 October 2020.
