Ireland to Vote Against EU Digital Services Tax in Upcoming ECOFIN Meeting

Ireland has reportedly decided that it will vote against the digital services tax directive proposed by the European Commission, which includes a 3% tax on revenue from certain digital services provided by large MNEs. The vote on the directive is to take place during an upcoming Economic and Financial Affairs Council meeting scheduled for 4 December 2018.
