The UAE Ministry of Finance has announced that officials from Israel and the UAE met 12 to 14 October for the first round of negotiations for an investment protection agreement and also agreed to begin negotiations for an income tax treaty. Any resulting treaty would be the first of its kind between the two countries and must be finalized, signed, and ratified before entering into force.
