Italian Parliament Approves 2018 Budget Bill Including New Tax on Digital Services

On 23 December 2017, the Italian Senate approved the countries budget bill for 2018, which was approved in the Chamber of Deputies a day earlier. One of the main measures of the bill is a new equalization tax on digital services. The tax is meant to target large multinational companies providing digital services in Italy, such as Apple, Facebook, and Google.
