Italy has published Decree-Law No. 80 of 30 June 2022 in the Official Gazette, which contains urgent measures to contain electricity and natural gas costs for the third quarter of 2022. This includes an extension of the temporary reduced VAT rate of 5% on supplies of natural gas for domestic (civil) and industrial purposes in the months of July, August, and September 2022. The reduced rate applies for invoices issued for estimated or actual consumption in these months.
