Italy published Decree-Law No. 79 of 28 June 2023 in the Official Gazette on 29 June 2023, which extends the reduced VAT rate of 5% on natural gas for civil and industrial purposes. Previously provided for natural gas consumed in the months of April, May, and June 2023, the reduced rate is now further provided for natural gas consumed in the months of July, August, and September 2023. The Decree-Law entered into force on 30 June 2023.
