According to a release from the South Korea Ministry of Foreign Affairs, officials from the Ivory Coast and South Korea met on 3 August 2022 to discuss bilateral relations, including the conclusion of negotiations for an income tax treaty. Discussions for a treaty first began in 2018. Any resulting treaty would be the first of its kind between the two countries and must be finalized, signed, and ratified before entering into force.
