The Jamaican government is reportedly planning to increase the personal income tax exemption (tax-free) threshold. Currently, the exemption threshold is JMD 1.5 million per annum. The exact increase in threshold is uncertain, although the government had considered a threshold of JMD 2.2 million in 2023. Further details will be published once available.
